Country Living…

Inspiration found at www.countryliving.com!

#1.  The bridesmaids at this wedding carried fans, so the small bouquets of flowers were tied with ribbon to their arms.  Different, unique, and kind of cool, don’t you think?

#2.  Who doesn’t love an amazing chocolate cake!

I love this inspiration from: She Walks In Beauty!

#1.  A stunning bouquet.

#2.  You could replicate this look with your glassware by placing fake purple or pink petals from your local craft store into each glass!

#3.  Get a similar look by adding food dye to your centerpiece vases.  Add one flower stem with a fuller top in smaller vases.  Stock up on purple “zen-like” candles…maybe host a Partylite party in your home to get them for free!  Decorate the table with purple or pink ribbons or 12×12 paper in those colors for placemats.  Can’t do the entire place?  Why not put the emphasis on your head table, and the just leave little hints of color on the guest tables?

Plumsy!

Posted in Bouquets, Do It Yourself by Jaime on February 3, 2008

Looking for the perfect bouquet with the perfect colors, but also looking to save money

Why not make your own wedding bouquet, or gather friends, relatives, or your bridesmaids to make all your bouquets?  This is a project, and time consuming, I’m sure, but in the end you’ll have beautiful bouquets…made truly out of love!

This fabulous idea is from Martha Stewart, follow her step-by-step instructions to create your beautiful hand-made wedding bouquets!

Happy crafting, and happy planning!

Purple Royalty…

Add some rhinestones to your bouquet to make it pop!  Whoa.

Other great purple flowers you could incorporate could be hydrangeas, lilacs (which smell sooooo amazing), or even dyed carnations!  Ask Martha Stewart…carnations can look quite lovely in a bouquet!

Best bet on a budget?  Ask your florist which ones are local and in season.  You’ll save tons that way!
